Niou is far and away the most complicated. The most straightforward way to explain it is this: Niou's orientation is best divided into the following aspects — romance, attraction, intimacy and sex.
Romance is socially-geared: it defines whether or not he finds someone's personality attractive, which determines whether (or how much) he'll flirt with them. On a romantic Kinsey scale, Niou would be a solid 3.
Attraction is sexually-geared, but superficial: it defines only whether or not he finds someone physically attractive. On this Kinsey scale, Niou would be a 2.
Intimacy is emotionally-geared: it defines whether or not he will open up to someone and engage with them intimately. On an intimate Kinsey scale, Niou would be a 5.
Sex is (obviously) sexually-geared, and attraction and intimacy both have a very strong bearing on it: it defines whether or not he would actually have sex with someone, which is heavily influenced by both how emotionally intimate he is with them and how attracted he is to them. On this Kinsey scale, Niou is a 5.5.
