bro/vriska; hell yes
Humans were pink, squishy, pathetic things, she sneered at him, and the next thing she knew, she was struggling to stem the flow of blood from the gaping wound in her stomach, and the stupidly tall and rugged blond human was standing ten feet away, out of her reach — and maybe even out of her league.
telling the family
Vriska assumed, apparently incorrectly, that her matespritship with a human would be a complicated matter when it came to his strange human family (that is, his brother) — which is why she was confused when one day, the two Strider boys locked eyes from behind their shades, then Dave said, "Cool," jerked his head in approval and slouched off, hands in his pockets.
love at first...
"Do you believe in love at first strife?" she finally asked him, one day when they were alone, and was honestly (and pleasantly) surprised when he didn't laugh — he took his shades off to look her in the eye (and her heart beat a little faster, the stupid thing) when he said yes.
cool irony
"What?!" Vriska screeched at Dave's dubious expression, then adjusted one of the pigtails and added defensively, "He said they were ironic!" — and scowled, resolving to get Bro back, when Dave strolled off chuckling.
